Here are two poems from my newest book.......enjoy.

The Forest Hike

Let me write
these lovely woods.;
and sing this mountain
waterfall;

Let me paint
this summer breeze
and speak the colors
of this sky;

So I will have
a way to share,
with you,
when I’ve come home,

The many wonders
of this place
and the joy
I’ve found.

Coyote

What are you doing, Coyote,
to come so near my house
with silent stride
and amber eyes
that pierce
the pale moonlight?

Where are you going, Coyote,
alone and on the prowl?
Do you have babies
in your den
you soon must feed again?

What are you thinking, Coyote,
to be so close to me?
Perhaps you
think
there’s no one home,
but I am
here to see!
